BUILDING UP MY MAC PALETTE..

So it was recently my birthday, and I was lucky enough to get a Mac eyeshadow palette. However, it was not full with beautiful, glittering eyeshadows. It was empty. But this made me even happier, as I can create my own palette with all of my own choices of shades, mattes, shimmers, and glittery eyeshadows. This palette is going to take a long time until it is complete, as Mac eyeshadows are £10 each, and there are 15 slots to fill...
But I think this adds to the excitement and i'm aiming to add at least one eyeshadow a month. So far, i've bought four to add to the collection..

From left to right: Sumptuous Olive, Patina, Coppering and Cork.

I'm so happy with these colours and they look so beautiful on the lid. I want my palette to be made of shades that are wearable during the day but also something you can build upon to be suitable for a nightout. However much I wish I was daring and adventurous enough to try bright blues, greens and pinks I think i'm happy sticking to my neutrals.

In the photos above I have just brushed cork all over the lid and it goes amazingly well with my green eyes. It's just such a versatile colour, and I know I will be wearing every single day from now on!

SUMMER NO MAKE UP - MAKE UP DAYS

During the summer, sometimes I really can't be bothered to do a full face of make up everyday. I just want something I can apply really quickly but still look presentable. These products do just that. They create a very natural, glowy summer look. It still manages to look like you've made an effort with your appearance, which is always a plus..

I apply the Rimmel Good to Glow illuminator underneath my foundation and after my primer. It makes my skin look glowing without it looking sweaty or glittery, and it adds a slight healthy tan to my face which I love. I've recently been loving the Bourjois healthy mix foundation. It makes your skin look so smooth, dewy and adds a gorgeous healthy glow. Its staying power is really good, and I often wear this foundation on a night out. I can't not apply concealer, it's a must product for me. The Bobbi Brown Corrector is amazing for dark circles, as it's a very peachy/salmony colour, it counteracts any blue or greens you get around your eyes. I then use the Soap and Glory Solar Powder to bronze my face. It's a lovely mid brown, not too dark and not too light. It adds a really nice colour to your face without being over the top. The Max Factor Creme Puff Blush are an all time favourite of mine. My favourite shade is 'Mauve'. It adds a beautiful highlight to your face, as well as a subtle blush. Then of course, I have to wear mascara, and currently I'm using the L'oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Punky Mascara. It volumises, it thickens, and it separates. What more can you want?
